Description

686 Silver Pigeon I 28ga 28"

For over 35 years, the Silver Pigeon has set the standard in the over-and-under crossover shotgun category, establishing itself as the epitome of excellence and reliability. The 2024 evolution of the 686 SPI is the best version of the Silver Pigeon I yet— an incremental upgrade that elevates the renowned Beretta field shotgun to new heights.

The innovative and smoother opening lever mechanism makes it easier to open and close the shotgun. Together with the improved receiver balance and the polished stainless-steel trigger, it brings the Silver Pigeon into a new era of functionality. This is Important for an enhanced, enjoyable shooting experience for novices, young shooters, and shooting schools providing lessons.

For the first time, the richer and more distinctive floral engraving is featured on the receiver tail and is more intricately detailed on the hinge pins, covering all the metal surfaces seamlessly.

The Silver Pigeon I incorporates the perfect ballistics of Beretta's highly reputed Steelium® Optimabore® HP barrels for dense, uniform patterns and low recoil and muzzle rise.

Features:

TOP LEVER WITH SMOOTHER FEELING OPENING AND CLOSING

  • The action's opening and closing are smoother and require less effort, thanks to the redesigned top lever with a repositioned release pin.

ELEGANTLY FIGURED EUROPEAN WALNUT

  • The stock is now available with a higher 35/55 drop to enhance handling and shooting experience in both a right- and left-handed version. A Vittoria version is available, with a semi-Montecarlo 35/45/55 drop.

STEELIUM® & OPTIMABORE® HP CHOKES

  • The ingredients for the stunning performance of the Beretta Steelium® barrels are the exclusive tri-alloy Beretta steel (Ni, Cr, Mo), the deep drilling, the cold hammer forging, and the vacuum distension. The 686 Silver Pigeon I Steelium® barrels have a double forcing cone reaching up to 80mm (in a 76 cm barrel). The inner profile of the Optimabore® HP barrels has been designed and tested to provide perfect accuracy with every type of shell: lead, steel, and high-performance steel. This results in perfect patterns with every shot.

FLORAL LASER-ENGRAVING

  • The engravings are created using modern Beretta technology, namely a 5-axis laser capable of engraving rounded surfaces while maintaining perfect continuity in the design. The floral theme, created by Beretta's Master Engravers, now seamlessly covers the metal surfaces, extends for the first time to the receiver tail, and embellishes the hinge pins. The background with micro-lines improves the depth of the scene.

B-FAST STOCK

  • The Sporting version includes an adjustable B-Fast® stock, the stock adjustment tool developed by Beretta. Its simple and intelligent design provides several adjustment options in height, drop, cast, and rotation.

EXTRALIGHT® RECOIL PAD

  • The Extralight® recoil pad is lighter, abrasion-resistant, and protected from chemical and atmospheric agents thanks to its closed-cell structure.

How to Buy a Pistol, Rifle or Shotgun

Federal firearms laws prevent the sale of a weapon from Clay Shooters Supply directly to an individual in another state (we are located in Texas). We must ship your firearm directly to an FFL Dealer near you. The steps to follow are:

  1. Order your firearm online using our secure shopping cart. If you know the dealer you are going to use at time of order placement (not a requirement) enter his name into the 'Ship To' field.
  2. Find a dealer near you that will accept the transfer of the firearm for you. Most sporting goods stores and pawn shops will provide this service for a small fee. Also, gun clubs, shooting ranges, etc. may provide this service to you. If you don't know which dealer to use in your area, put a comment in your order and we will help you locate one near you. We have access to a large list of dealers in the USA that will gladly handle a transfer for you. Most dealers charge around $25 for a transfer. You must confirm the transfer with your local dealer in advance.
  3. Next, have the dealer get us a copy of his signed license if we don't already have it on file. To check whether a license is on file, contact us. Please Note: It is now legal for us to accept a faxed or e-mailed copy of your dealers license! Print out this convenient coversheet, fill it out and give it to your dealer to fax with his license. That's all there is to it!
  4. Make sure the dealer knows the firearm is coming from us. If you used a dealer that we already had on file, call him to let him know that a gun for you is on the way.
  5. We will send you an email when the firearm ships, which will include a tracking number.
Age Restrictions on Firearms

You must be 21 years of age to purchase a handgun or shotgun with a pistol grip. You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase a rifle or standard shotgun (without a pistol grip.)
